Thomas Lefort was born in Marseille in 1994. He began the violin at the age of four years at the Conservatory « Pierre Barbizet » in Marignane. He studied in the class of Suzanne Gessner in Conservatoire Régional de Paris. He studied at the Conservatoire National de Musique de Paris with Roland Daugareil well as with Salvatore Accardo in Cremona. Winner of the FMAJI, the Association of Members of the Order of Academic Palms, the Fondation de France, he won first prize at the Young Talents of Ile-de-France, the second prize at the International Competition “Rodolpho Lipizer” as well as the International Competition “Ginette Neveu” in Avignon. Recently, he won first prize at the European Young Talents Competition Baume & Mercier « Un violon sur le Sable.” In 2008, he was the guest of the TV show « Toute la musique qu’ils aiment” presented by Alain Duault on France 3 and then in 2012, Ivry Gitlis to play at the Salle Gaveau at the concert in his honor and also the same year in the Martha Argerich Festival in Lugano. He played with several orchestras such as the Avignon Opera Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra “Bel Arte” in Paris, the Chamber Orchestra of the French Riviera, the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatoire Régional de Paris (Théâtre du Châtelet) and Pasdeloup Orchestra. He also performed in recital as part of the Festival « Le Salon Romantique” at Palazetto Bru Zane in Venice and at the International Festival “The Summits of the Classic” chaired by Michel Legrand in Crans Montana, Switzerland. He will play in July 2015 Festival « Un violon sur le Sable” in Royan.
